Fried Ricotta w/spicy aioli

If you were looking for a healthy recipe, then I suggest going to my spinach recipe because this isn’t it! Fried Ricotta is like a softer mozzarella stick, but lets face it… fried cheese is good, doesn’t matter what kind of cheese.

This makes a great appetizer for a housewarming, or sloppy wine and cheese parties. This easy recipe will turn your get together into some classy fucking shit, dude.

Fried Ricotta Recipe:

  • 4 scoops Ricotta: $1.50
  • Flour: $0.10
  • Panko/Breadcrumbs: $0.35
  • 1 Egg: $0.38

Chipotle Mayo Recipe:

  • Cholula Chipotle Hot Sauce
  • 1 Lemon (squeezed and zested)
  • 2 scoops of mayo
  • Sprinkle of Dill

Take your Ricotta and roll it into healthy-sized balls. Take your balls and dunk them into your flour, egg, and then panko. You can double batter your balls, but I usually don’t because it ends up more wet than sticky. Remember, we want the panko to stick to the balls so it will brown nicely in the oil. Next, fry them in canola oil on a medium high for a minute or two.

This isn’t a meal that you can walk away from. These guys will fry quickly and if you’re not careful you can burn them. Don’t crank the heat on your saute pan or the ricotta balls will burn as soon as they hit the pan.

Mix your Chipotle Mayo ingredients and lay down a small pool of the condiment and gently place a ball into the pool for the same appearance as the photo.
